Straub Appointed to Board of Directors for CNB Bank

Frank StraubDennis L. Merrey, Chairman of the Board of CNB Bank, announced the appointment of Frank Straub, managing officer and director of St. Marys Pharmacy, Inc., and Bennetts Valley Pharmacy, Inc., to the Board of CNB Bank.
As a business and community leader, Mr Straub will apply his expertise in entrepreneurship to provide leadership and guidance as CNB Bank continues to develop in North Western Pennsylvania.
Mr. Straub brings a diverse background in healthcare and entrepreneurial culture, which began in his family’s pharmacy over 40 years ago.  The family owned and operated healthcare companies’ St. Marys Pharmacy, Inc., and Bennetts Valley Pharmacy, Inc., where more than 100 people in St. Marys, Kane, DuBois, Bennetts Valley, and Clearfield are employed in their retail pharmacies, long term care pharmacy, and home medical locations serving northwestern Pennsylvania.

Mr. Straub holds a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Pharmacy from Duquesne University and has been a practicing, licensed pharmacist at St. Marys Pharmacy for over 30 years. 
As an active member of the healthcare community, Mr. Straub is a member of the Board of Directors at Value Drug Company, a national pharmaceutical wholesale Co-op located in Altoona, Pennsylvania that serves over 600 independent community pharmacies.
Dedicated to improving our local region, Mr. Straub currently serves as an Executive Team Board Member at Penn Highlands Elk, part of the family of Penn Highlands Healthcare System. His current participation at Penn Highlands Elk includes serving on the following committees: Finance, Nominating, and Board Quality & Oversight. His past civic appointments include President of the Marienstadt Corporation and Board Member of the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Straub, serving as the Board Chairman, is actively involved in Precision Compacted Components, Inc., a global manufacturer of powder metal parts for the automotive industry.  Precision’s continued growth and expansion efforts promise a bright future for their 100 employees as the company enters new markets worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Straub is involved with commercial real estate development, oil & gas field services, and sleep medical services.
A lifelong native of Elk County, and a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Mr. Straub resides in St. Marys with his wife Cheryl. They have three children: Frank IV, Desiree and Caitlyn; and four grandchildren: Tabitha, Frank V, Sydney, and Kaydence. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Frank enjoys all of the natural scenery and recreation available in our area.
With respect to his appointment Mr. Straub stated, “It is truly an honor to serve with the CNB Board of Directors and to be inspired by their leadership as we head into the future. The Board’s commitment to CNB’s strategic vision has lead to the corporation’s broad success as it continues to grow.  My goal as a Director will be to add to the positive synergy that exists today.”
